About MCC

MCC is an international charity (UK Reg. No: 1034475) with skilled professionals currently working in limited countries, although we aim to spread our work over 40 countries. We respond to requests from governments and community organizations throughout the world, especially in Asia and Africa. MCC quickly responds to emergencies and disasters all over the world. Our professionals and volunteers aim to pass on their expertise to local people so that when they return home their skills remain. Volunteers can be aged between 20 and 75 years old, and must have a formal qualification and some work experience.

MCC was founded by Mr Afzal Khan in 1987 solely from his own personal finances, with no financial or other assistance from any other person, organization or government. He achieved this by selling off many of the properties he owned across the world. His vision is of a world without poverty in which people work together to fulfill their potential. Not just sending food and money, MCC also sends people from a wide range of professions who want the chance to make a real difference in the fight against poverty. These volunteers work in partnership with other communities and our partner local offices to share skills and achieve positive change together.

MCC values diversity, honesty, respect, and shared endeavor. Through our working practices we strive to make MCC a more diverse organization.
